Six HEMP shielded facilities, including two at a remote island in the Bering Sea. The total square footage was in excess of 85,000 SF and included 24 HEMP doors, 89 RF electrical filter cabinet assemblies with MOVs, multiple waveguide penetrations, Pulse Current Injection Testing, RF Attenuation and SELDS testing. Completed 2004.
Interceptor Communication System Data Terminal (IDT) Complex
Design and constructed EMI shielded systems.
All systems were tested per MIL STD 188-125-1 and met or exceeded specifications.
The IDT Complex consists of a reinforced concrete building in which to house IDT transmitter/receiver equipment, communication antenna with inflated protective redone, UPS system, and a 170KW standby generator. This project also includes a specially fabricated technical support building, security lighting, fiber optic termination point, and a security forces facility. This is an operational facility that includes shielding against the effects of High-Altitude Electro Magnetic Pulse. All wave-guide pipe penetrations, mechanical air vents, electrical filters and double door vestibules for personnel access.
