The total square footage was in excess of 85,000 SF and included 24 HEMP doors, 89 RF electrical filter cabinet assemblies with MOVs, multiple waveguide penetrations, Pulse Current Injection Testing, RF Attenuation and SELDS testing. High-altitude Electro-Magnetic Pulse (HEMP)
is a mass amount of radiation generated by a nuclear weapon detonation in space or the earth's upper atmosphere. HEMP events have devastating effects on any electronic equipment within its sphere of influence. HEMP Shielding is a proven and time-tested sub-system that mitigates this threat.

DESIGN
Our management team has over 150 years of Shielding, Structural, Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical Systems Experience. With full in-house capabilities to effectively design our shielding systems within any facility.
We work closely with Architects, Engineers, Design Consultants, End Users, and General Contractors to deliver an effective and constructible design in any condition.
CONSTRUCTION
We specialize in Shielding Construction that consists of fully RF welded steel envelopes of various thickness and sizes to meet the higher performance requirements of various Federal Government agencies as well as Private Sector Infrastructure and Defense.
We pride ourselves in having highly experienced field project management team that has safety and successfully delivered HEMP Shielding projects for the past 3 decades and continues to do so.
FABRICATION
ATEC maintains a 50,000 Square Foot fabrication facility located in Savage, MD that includes a 5-ton bridge crane, paint booth, RF testing chamber, and full production and welding capabilities.
Our core shop QAQC Team, RF Welders, and Fabrication Staff have been working with ATEC for decades with a vast amount of RF Welding and Fabrication experience to include custom waveguides, steel assemblies and structural panels.
TESTING & CERTIFICATION
Extensive knowledge and experience of Division 13 and all the testing that may be required. Years of lessons learned, Research and Development of materials, means, and methods that are best suited for each testing requirement.

ATEC was founded in 1986 in the state of Maryland and has successfully delivered and certified millions of cubic feet of RF Shielding. Our projects range from small RF test enclosures to complete Shielding systems for multistory buildings.
